Pockets are probably most liked clothing feature - who doesn't love a big, spacious pocket in skirt, dress or pants?

However, those big, spacious side pockets may have one side effect: with no support at the top, the pocket may start sagging, disrupting the flow of the garment and waistband.

In this tutorial, I was to share a simple technique how to fix pocket sagging with twill tape - you'll be surprised how quick and easy it is! All you need is a piece of twill tape and a straight stitch on your sewing machine.

Step 1. Turn your garment wrong side out and place it on a flat surface. Make sure the pocket is laying nicely in its designated position.

Step 2. Take twill tape and measure from waistband facing to the top of the pocket, plus 1cm at both ends for seam allowance. Make sure twill is placed not too tight and has a bit of ease.

Step 3. At sewing machine, sew a short straight stitch seam, connecting twill tape with the bottom of the waistband facing.
